Community Living

Community Living Services encompass a wide range of educational, therapeutic, developmental, and individual specific services. All community living services promote community integration, skill development, socialization, support, training, fun, and life enhancement. Community living service sites are located throughout the local area and may be owned or rented by the person receiving services. Our community living staff are here to help make each person's life enjoyable, enriching, and personally satisfying.

Independent Living

Independent living services are designed for individuals that desire a semi-independent living arrangement. Service levels depend on the person's goals, preferences, and needs. Typically, individuals reside in their own apartment or house and spend a majority of their time without a staff member present. In other words, this service is for people that possess the skills, habits, and knowledge necessary to complete most day-to-day activities independently.

Independent living staff provides individualized, person-centered services.

Examples of activities include, but are not limited to assistance and support with: grocery shopping, laundry, housekeeping, accessing community resources, transportation, help at medical appointments, monitoring medications, obtaining pharmacy supplies and medication refills, attending community events (concerts, sports, movies, restaurants, etc.), locating housing, and shopping.

Daily, weekly, and monthly services are scheduled on an individualized basis.

Supported Living

Supported living services are intended for people that require supervision and support up to 24 hours per day depending on the individual's work schedule or other activities. In general, people that do not possess the skills necessary to live independently are a good match for supported living services.

Most supported living services are provided in houses with roommates. Everyone will have his or her own bedroom and share common areas such as the kitchen and living room. The houses are located throughout our local communities with an emphasis on integrating into the neighborhood. Nothing distinguishes the appearance of a supported living house from those of their neighbors.

Supported living staff members provide individualized services to each person in this program. Examples of typical activities include, but are not limited to: household maintenance, nutritional support, completing activities of daily living, grocery shopping, accessing community activities, attending community events, participating in recreation and leisure activities, developing personal skills to enhance independence, nursing supports, and assistance with medication regimens.

Family Living

People that choose family living from ENMRSH, Inc. receive support in a private family home environment with a paid caregiver. Caregivers are screened to assure the proper level of service and support is available on an individual basis. Services provided by the caregiver are designed to meet the goals and desires of the person receiving services at home and in the community. Typical activities include learning and reinforcing independent living skills in the home and around town, attending area activities, exploring new interests, and making community connections with family, neighbors, and friends.

Substitute care is provided as a component of family living. This service provides an alternative staff member to provide support in order to give the regular caregiver a break from day-to-day duties.

Respite

Respite services offer limited supports and are provided to allow a caregiver a temporary break from supervising or caring for their child or ward. Respite providers normally provide services in the home of the individual being served. While there, the staff member can assist the individual with cooking, cleaning, activities of daily living, or many other things that are usually taken care of by the family or caregiver.

Personal Support Companion

Personal support services are provided by a trained staff member in the home of the person receiving services or the general community.Typically services are provided on a 1:1 basis. Examples of service activities include: assistance with local medical appointments, shopping, and training and help with activities of daily living (hygiene, cooking, cleaning, etc.). Individuals that do not require care on a routine basis normally access this service.

Environmental Modifications

Environmental modifications involve modifying a house to make it more accessible to the person served. This may entail enlarging a bathroom, widening hallways, constructing ramps or paths, or many other needs depending upon what the person requires. New construction is not allowed (for example, adding an additional room to a house), but modifying existing structures is permitted.
