Job Development
ENMRSH has always promoted the value of work for people that want to obtain gainful employment. Our company uses unique tools and processes to help individuals identify jobs or careers of interest. Then, we will provide education, as necessary, related to building a resume, completing applications, and participating in interviews. Finally, we will provide support during the hiring process eventually leading to job placement. Once job development is complete, supports through individual or group supported employment will continue.
ENMRSH works with the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (often called DVR) to conduct assessments and identify job matches when necessary. Our experienced staff can also facilitate direct supported employment placements with participating community businesses. Specific job placement depends on the person's own choices, preferences, and skill sets.
Individual Supported Employment
Individual supported employment services help people develop and maintain community jobs that are of interest to the person. Trained staff are provided, usually on a 1:1 basis, for anyone that participates in individual supported employment. ENMRSH employees are there to help you understand job tasks, perform duties correctly, communicate with management, identify and solve work-related issues, and develop skills that are transferable among various community employers.
ENMRSH also has exceptional possibilities for individual supported employment at several New Mexico rest areas. Job duties are primarily janitorial in nature and offer unique opportunities to have contact with the traveling public.
Group Supported Employment
Group supported employment services are provided to small groups of clients at one time at integrated sites located at Cannon Air Force Base. Employment opportunities are available at different locations around the clock.
Group supported employment options include shelf stocking and custodial services at the commissary. The commissary warehouse is another service site. Skills such as equipment safety, operating a forklift, completing inventory and stock rotation, handling shipped materials, order writing, and stock pulling are typical in the warehouse.
Supported employment in the area of food service is provided at the Pecos Trail Dining Facility. This site provides skill development in areas such as dish washing, operating a clipper, custodial duties, bussing, operating a cash register, and other tasks associated with food service.
The CAFB switchboard is another service site operated by ENMRSH. Training in communication skills such as managing in-bound and out-bound calls, linking deployed military and their families, and acting as base locators is provided.
