Training Coordinator
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Training & Development, coordinates and provides DDSD Mandatory Training and Individual-Specific Training to Direct Support Staff as directed by DDSD regulations and the client’s Individual Service Plan (ISP).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 21 years of age or older.
- High School diploma/GED.
- Some college level courses preferred.
- Must have computer software experience and experience in working with Microsoft office applications.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be able to provide training to others.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and pass a driving record check
- Possess a working telephone (this requirement reflects the fact that many positions rely on a timekeeping application to record work hours)
- Ability to pass a background screening
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Reliable transportation
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must have strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have the ability to work with outside therapists and consultants in a professional manger.
- Must be able to train, direct, and guide others in meeting their training requirements of their department.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and interact with employees during training sessions.
- Must be computer literate and be able to use various types of computer software efficiently.
- Must be able to become a certified trainer in all trainings that are required for the position as directed by the Director of Training & Development.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time during training sessions.
- Requires lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently, bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling.
- May include assembling/disassembling training equipment.
