Early Childhood Supervisor

Oversees family service coordinators/developmental specialists to assure all duties outlined in their job descriptions are completed to company standards; performs family service coordinator duties for small caseload.  Assures New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department (NM ECECD) rules and guidelines governing ENMRSH, Inc.’s early childhood programs are followed and policies are updated to reflect the current regulatory environment.  Implement new initiatives from the planning phase through execution and follow through. Prior experience in a supervisory or management position is helpful, but not required.  This position requires flexibility, the capacity to work independently, excellent organizational and writing skills, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple projects, deadlines, and ongoing staff management duties.  Must be able to relate to diverse personalities and possess the ability to solve unique problems on a regular basis. Spanish speaking preferred but not required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or other related field
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass background screening and/or obtain base clearance
  • Ability to pass drug screening
  • Possess a working telephone
  • Reliable transportation
  • Working knowledge of the FIT system
  • Bilingual preferred, but not required
  • Supervisory experience preferred, but not required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English well.
  • Ability to coordinate several tasks at once and handle various situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be creative and flexible in order to respond quickly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities.
  • Operate various office equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to balance, climb, bend, stoop, reach, and kneel.
  • Use arms, hands, and fingers.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. frequently.
  • Walk, stand, and/or sit for at least eight hours per day.
  • Must be capable of driving and getting in and out of the car multiple times to make five home visits or appointments per day.
  • Must be able to get up and down from the floor, as 75% of the time is to provide Special Instruction with the child and family.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach out, lift, and work on knees.
  • Must be able to carry and hold children weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must perform large volume of handwritten paper and computer work, and be able to manipulate it with the arms, hands and fingers.
